OUR HISTORY

Harney Rock & Paving Co. was established in 1977 in Burns, Oregon.  Our first project was crushing rock for U. S. Forest Service projects. We operate the only asphalt paving plant in Harney County.  Today, we supply crushed rock, ready mixed concrete and hot mixed asphalt. Dump Truck

In the early 1980's we moved our rock            crusher to Elko, Nevada  to crush railroad             ballast for  Western Pacific Railroad and the    "Life Saver" project. Now, 25 years later, we supply rock products and are Elko's largest ready mixed concrete supplier, doing business as Silver State Rock Products.

In 1990, we established the North Powder quarry in   Baker County, Oregon. From this quarry, we provide   railroad ballast to Union Pacific Railroad for the Pacific   Northwest and other rock products to the local   community.

In the mid 1990's, we started crushing rock in the Powell Butte quarry near Prineville, Oregon. From here, we supply rock and hot mixed asphalt. We also service the Central Oregon area with asphalt paving.
